Why Monsters Love These
- One-Bowl Wonder: Minimal cleanup so you can spend more time on your costume.
- Naturally Gluten-Free: Since they use oats instead of flour, almost everyone at the party can dig in!
- Perfectly Customizable: Swap in orange and black M&Ms or add chocolate sprinkles for “fur.”
The Witch’s Brew (Ingredients)
- 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Large Egg
- 1.5 cups Rolled Oats
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 cup Halloween M&Ms
- 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1 package Candy Eyeballs
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the Base: In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, brown sugar, and egg until smooth.
- Fold in Dry Goods: Stir in the oats and baking soda until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and half of the M&Ms.
- Scoop: Roll about 2 tablespoons of dough into balls and place on the baking sheet. Press down slightly.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are just barely golden. (The centers will look soft, but they will firm up as they cool!)
- Bring to Life: As soon as the cookies come out of the oven, press the remaining M&Ms and the candy eyeballs into the warm tops.
Monster Tip: Don’t just use two eyes! Give your cookies three, four, or even five eyeballs of different sizes for a truly chaotic monster look.
