This is the ultimate low-effort, high-reward dessert. By layering premium chocolate chips under a blanket of marshmallows in a cast-iron skillet, you get a molten chocolate base topped with a toasted, caramelized crust. It’s gooey, nostalgic, and ready in less time than it takes to find a roasting stick.

- Fresh StrawberriesFor Freshness
The instruction
Skillet Prep: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the tablespoon of butter in an 8 or 10-inch cast-iron skillet and put it in the oven for 2 minutes to melt. Swirl to coat the bottom and sides.
The Chocolate Base: Pour the chocolate chips into the hot skillet in an even layer. The residual heat from the cast iron will immediately start softening the chocolate.
Marshmallow Mosaic: Arrange the marshmallows on top of the chocolate. For the best “dip-ability,” stand them up vertically so they are packed tightly together across the entire surface.
The Golden Toast: Bake for 5-7 minutes. Watch closely! You want the marshmallows to be toasted golden brown and the chocolate underneath to be completely melted. Serve immediately while warm and stretchy.
