💡 Pro Tips for Perfect Tostadas
1. Oven Method: If you don’t want to fry, brush tortillas with olive oil and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 8-10 minutes until crispy.
2. Keep it Fresh: Add fresh cilantro, pickled jalapeños, or a drizzle of sour cream to elevate the flavors. This pairs well with our Simple Greek Salad as a unique side!
3. Storage: Store fried tortillas in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Do not assemble until right before serving, or the tortillas will get soggy.

How to Build Crisp Beef Tostadas
Cook the ground beef with seasoning until browned and crumbly, then drain excess fat so the shell stays crisp. Ground beef must reach 160°F (71°C). Warm beans separately and prepare cold toppings before assembling.
Best Assembly Order
- Spread a thin bean layer over each crisp shell.
- Add hot seasoned beef and a modest amount of cheese.
- Finish with lettuce, tomato, salsa, avocado, and crema immediately before serving.
Keep shells dry and store meat and toppings in separate containers. Refrigerate perishable ingredients within 2 hours and use cooked beef within 3–4 days. Reheat only the beef and beans; rebuild each tostada fresh.
