Ditch the oil. The air fryer uses rapid air circulation to mimic a deep fryer, creating a shattered-glass-crispy skin while keeping the inside of the wings incredibly juicy.

Super Crispy
No Oil Needed
Essential Ingredients
- 1-2 lbs Chicken Wings
- 1.5 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tsp Baking Powder (aluminum-free)
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- Optional: Lemon Wedges for serving
The Air Fryer Method
- Dry & Prep: Pat the wings dry with paper towels. Toss them in a bowl with the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and the baking powder. The baking powder changes the pH of the skin, making it brown and crisp faster.
- Preheat: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Air Fry: Place the wings in the basket in a single layer. Do not overlap! Cook for 10 minutes.
- Flip: Shake the basket or flip the wings with tongs. Cook for another 8–10 minutes until they reach your desired level of “crunch.”
- Rest: Let them sit for 2 minutes after removing from the basket; this helps the skin set.
Pro Tip: If you are cooking multiple batches, the second batch will cook faster because the air fryer is already fully hot. Check them 2-3 minutes early!
