Chili Lime Shrimp Bowls

When you need dinner *now*, these Easy Chili Lime Shrimp Bowls are the answer. We use succulent jumbo shrimp that cook in under 5 minutes, tossed in a bright and spicy glaze of lime juice, honey, and chili flakes. Served over a bed of cilantro lime rice, it’s a high-protein meal that packs a serious flavor punch.
Ingredients
- Large Shrimp (peeled/deveined)1 lb
- Chili Powder & Smoked Paprika1 tsp each
- Fresh Lime Juice & Zest2 Limes
- Honey or Agave1 Tbsp
- Cooked Jasmine Rice2 Cups
- Fresh Cilantro (chopped)1/4 Cup
Instructions
Season: Pat shrimp dry. Toss with chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Sear: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Glaze: Turn off the heat. Pour in the lime juice, lime zest, and honey. Toss to coat the shrimp in the sticky sauce.
Serve: Scoop rice into bowls. Top with the glazed shrimp, extra cilantro, and a few slices of fresh avocado.
🍤 Pro Tip
Don’t overcook the shrimp! Shrimp are done the second they turn from translucent to pink and curl into a “C” shape. If they curl into an “O”, they’re overdone and can get rubbery.
